Retail Success. D2C Left Behind.
VITHIT makes low-sugar, vitamin-enriched drinks containing 100% of the recommended daily allowance of essential vitamins. The brand has meaningful retail distribution across 15 countries and genuine shelf presence in major grocery chains.
When they came to Velstar, the D2C channel wasn't keeping pace with the retail business. The infrastructure for bundling and discounting was complex and mostly manual, requiring team intervention for operations that should have been running automatically. The brand needed to grow across multiple international markets without the site failing under the traffic spikes that seasonal campaigns and retail partnerships were generating. The gap between where D2C was and where it needed to be was significant.
Automated D2C Infrastructure Built to Handle Scale.
01.
Shopify Plus D2C Store Build
A Shopify Plus store was built to serve as the foundation for VITHIT's D2C growth, with the product architecture and checkout experience designed to convert the high-intent customers arriving from retail brand awareness. Bundles, subscriptions, and promotional mechanics were built into the store from the start rather than bolted on later.
02.
Intelligent Bundling and MOV Discounting
The manual bundling and discounting processes were replaced with an automated system. Minimum order value discounting was implemented to protect margins while lifting average order value. Bundle configurations that had previously required team time to set up and manage now ran without intervention.
03.
Klaviyo Email Automation
A full email automation program was built in Klaviyo covering welcome flows, abandon sequences, post-purchase, and win-back. Each flow was built around VITHIT's product education story, with campaign strategy built to convert first-time D2C buyers into repeat customers.
04.
Full-Funnel Paid Media
Paid social campaigns across Meta and TikTok and paid search via Google were built and managed alongside the store. Creative strategy was aligned with the D2C product positioning, targeting customers who knew VITHIT from retail but had never bought direct. The combined paid and email program drove the 115% year-on-year revenue growth.
“Velstar turned what used to be a complex, manual process into an efficient, automated workflow that allowed us to handle record-breaking traffic across multiple regions without a single stability issue.”
